What is Meditation?

• Meditation is a practice of sitting in stillness and being present with yourself
• It is the practice of focus and letting go
• It is a journey from external activity to inner silence
• Meditation gives you the opportunity to just be. This is the moment where you remember that in your essence you are a human being, rather than a human doing.
• During meditation, the mind settles down and you will experience a deep state of rest.
• Rest is how the body naturally heals itself and by this I mean that it heals itself by throwing off what’s not suppose to be there - stress, fatigue and toxins
• Between any two thoughts you have a space. This space has two important qualities
  • It’s silent, if it wasn’t it would be your next thought
  • Its not an empty space but one that is filled with infinite possibilities

• You are not your thoughts, you are the thinker so the only place you can be is in the space, we also call this the gap
• This is your soul, your essence, your true self at it’s most profound level
• Because your essences is in the space between your thoughts, who you really are then is Silence and Infinite possibilities
• So as we awaken to this awareness, we can then make more conscious decisions, and break habits and conditioning that has happened over time
